This Scheme of Work (SOW) fits with the KS3 History National Curriculum. It outlines important lessons that should be covered across the teaching term and suggests possible learning outcomes. This SOW also provides teachers with initial ideas/frameworks for lesson activities and expands on this by citing the resources needed. To further this, the SOW also makes significant reference to cross curricular links to the topic and the key history skills that could be focused on within each lesson.
